"The Swim"! What an adventure. Nigel, Eila and the 3rd kayaker, friend, Chris Kitson, successfully led the 11 strong team of heroic swimmers including Steve Parry, Ronan Keating, Pamela Stephenson, Jenny Frost and Jason Bradbury along with the awesome swimmers Jonathon, Becky, Nikki, Lianne, Olly and Colm in the 35 hour and 18 min swim from Holyhead Sailing Club to Wicklow in Ireland, across the Irish Sea. The 3 paddlers worked a 2 hours on and 4 hours off shift.
The team of Paddlers had to keep the bearing and ensure the swimmers stayed close offering immediate support if required. The swimmers were incredible; Steve Parry went from treading water to 2.6kn instantaneously!
